Guillaume Lavallée, a Canadian national, is the bureau chief of AFP for Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Before Jerusalem, he was based in Paris, Islamabad, Khartoum and taught two years journalism at the Quebec university in Montreal (UQAM). He is also the co-founder of the Quebec Fund for International Journalism (www.fqji.org).
